Within regards to the “par value”, so I have been told it’s called…we bought this stock direct?

A question by Sister Mary :  The company is a NEW company…and bought this directly, we know what we paid, and I understand what we paid isn’t what we will get if we sell…but aren’t they required to “POST” a par value or face value, meaning what was paid for it??

“Par value is almost meaningless for stocks, unlike newly issued bonds. Most stocks have a par value of $1, but that is not what they start selling at (or worth) on first issue. That price is determined by what the “market” i.e. investors think it is worth at that time.”
