Opportunity: Nationwide Offers American Gold Eagles at Spot Prices

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Are you interested in purchasing gold at its current spot price? If you’re wondering whether it’s feasible, I can share my experience with a particular vendor, Nationwide. They’ve been advertising American Gold Eagles and similar products at spot prices. Yes, you read that right! I recently acquired a 1oz American Eagle gold coin from Nationwide for just $1850, a deal that’s quite enticing for first-time buyers.

Chech these dealers for gold under spot.

  • Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve can confirm that Nationwide will indeed sell you a 1oz gold coin at spot price, and this is a legitimate offer—you personally can take advantage of it. You might be wondering if a phone call is necessary to seal the deal. Well, the answer is yes, but it’s a straightforward process that took me just 10 minutes. The good news is they aren’t overly pushy about upselling additional products. As for the current availability of this deal for new customers, I’m not entirely certain if Nationwide Coin and Bullion Reserve still offers it.
  • JM Bullion, with their “gold starter”. Alternatively, you can check out JM Bullion, specifically their “gold starter” 1oz bar at spot. I can confirm that they gave me a free silver eagle, valued at $50, along with my 1oz American Eagle gold coin, all for $1850 with no additional fees. When I inquired, they asked for a code, but I didn’t have one, and it still worked.
  • As an additional option, you can check out SD Bullion, where you can find Government-issued 1oz $50 Gold American Eagles at a cost of $1876 and the opportunity to buy gold at the spot price. SD Bullion also has an ongoing deal where if you buy a 1oz Platinum Britannia, you can get a 1oz Gold Britannia at spot. This discount of $85 will apply when you add both items to your cart.
  • Westminster Mint For those interested in other offers, Westminster Mint has a special deal in 2023. They’re offering a U.S. Government-issued one-ounce American Gold Eagle for a limited time at $1,979, and they’re sweetening the deal with a free 2023 1oz Silver Lion Bar with your purchase. Please note that this offer is exclusively for first-time customers and comes with certain restrictions, such as one coin per household. There is also a 3% credit card processing fee, state and local taxes where applicable, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

I’ve compiled a shortlist of a few spot or near-spot deals, and I’ve personally acquired three of them. Below are the links to these offers:

  1. Westminster Mint – 2023 1oz $50 Gold Eagle NGC MS70 TV Offer
  2. Nationwide Coins – Gold Collection
  3. SD Bullion – Buy Gold at Spot
  4. JM Bullion – Gold Starter Pack.

Please be aware that both Nationwide and Westminster may attempt to upsell you with higher-priced items. Additionally, JM Bullion has a similar offer, although I haven’t personally purchased it, and it has been sold out for several months. Treasure Hunt en Ebay and garage sales.

Finally, for those who like a bit of a treasure hunt, you can explore eBay auctions for scrap or regular jewelry. With some patience and knowledge, you might snag some deals that go below spot price. Keep in mind that it’s rare to find bullion this way since most people are aware of its value.

The narrative takes a remarkable turn as our protagonist ventured out for a last-minute stop en route back home. It was a serendipitous moment, considering that the sale had been operational for several hours, yet these remarkable items had remained unclaimed. Among the discoveries were items made of sterling silver, which included a piece with the inscription “live to ride,” possibly composed of 90% silver or even .999 silver, albeit unmarked. The remaining pieces in this category bore clear markings of “925.”

Further excitements were unveiled in the form of 10 karat gold Harley-Davidson earrings and a pendant, along with a substantial 14 karat gold bracelet. Notably, one 18 karat gold piece hailing from Israel was among the finds, displaying the genuine “18 karat gold Israel” hallmark.

Remarkable rings, offered at a mere five dollars each, were also part of this haul. They included a ladies’ wedding ring adorned with diamonds, unmistakably marked as 14 karat gold. Another ring, embellished with a ruby and diamond chips, bore a clear 10 karat gold marking. Additionally, a Harley-Davidson ring, believed to be 10 karat gold, was found. A captivating sapphire and diamond chip ring, bearing a 10 karat gold mark, rounded out the ring collection. To cap it all, a necklace with pendant and matching earrings were discovered, all fashioned from 14 karat gold. The elation of finding these treasures, approximately three and a half hours after the garage sale’s commencement, was palpable. These acquisitions stood as the highlights of the past few days, marking a consistent streak of gold discoveries.
